The CN Tower is non-negotiable. It's the most recognizable structure in Canada, it held the world record for tallest freestanding structure for 32 years, and the view from the top — on a clear day — stretches over 100km. Here's everything you need before you go.
Buy tickets online in advance — especially in summer and on weekends. Walk-up queues can be 45–60 minutes. General admission (LookOut + Glass Floor) is around $43 for adults. Adding SkyPod is extra. EdgeWalk is a separate ticket (~$225+) and must be booked ahead.

The glass floor panels (installed 1994) are 2.5 inches thick and tested to hold 14 people simultaneously. They're safe. Everyone still hesitates on the first step. Worth it for the perspective and the photo.
The EdgeWalk lets you walk around the outside of the main pod at 356m on a hands-free harness. You walk on a 1.5m ledge around the circumference. There are safety briefings and training before you go out. The views are extraordinary. This is not for people with a genuine fear of heights.
The revolving restaurant at the CN Tower is worth it for special occasions. The food quality has improved significantly in recent years, the rotating floor gives you a full 360° view over dinner, and admission to the observation deck is included with your reservation.
Best Photo of the Tower The best exterior shot of the CN Tower is from the Rogers Centre side, standing near the base looking up. The reflection in the base pool on clear days is excellent. For the classic skyline shot with the tower, position yourself at Humber Bay Park (20-min drive west) or on the Toronto Islands ferry.
