Yorkville has a reputation as Toronto's luxury district — and it earns it. Designer boutiques, Michelin-calibre restaurants, and the densest concentration of expensive real estate in Canada. But it's also more accessible than its reputation suggests. The neighbourhood has excellent free things to do, mid-range dining options, and one of the city's best public squares (Cumberland Square) that anyone can enjoy.
Yorkville sits north of Bloor Street between Bay and Avenue Road, directly above the Bloor-Yonge subway interchange. It's the most transit-accessible upscale neighbourhood in the city — no car needed. The main shopping streets are Bloor Street (the luxury strip), Yorkville Avenue (boutiques and restaurants), and Cumberland Street.
