The Victoria Day fireworks at Ashbridges Bay are the main event. The show runs approximately 14 minutes, starts at 10pm sharp, and launches over 2,000 shells. It's free, it's spectacular, and it draws an enormous crowd — so plan accordingly.
Best viewing spots The boardwalk between Coxwell Ave and Victoria Park Ave gives the clearest sightlines. The beaches along Kew-Balmy Beach are also excellent. Arrive by 8:30pm if you want a good spot — earlier for the western stretches of the boardwalk closest to the launch site.
Getting there Drive and park at Woodbine Beach early, or take the TTC — the 92 Woodbine bus from Main Station runs along the waterfront. Post-show traffic and crowds are heavy; the boardwalk walk east toward Kingston Road is often faster than waiting for the buses to clear.
