How the policy works
The Access 2 Cardholder pays the admission required by the participating venue. The accompanying support person may receive complimentary or reduced admission under that venue’s Access 2 policy. Benefits are not identical everywhere, so check the participating-venue directory and confirm the current terms with the venue before you go.
The support person provides assistance that venue employees do not provide. Examples can include help with eating, medication, communication, washroom facilities, or navigating the visit. A support person generally must be 18 or older and does not need to be a registered personal support worker unless a venue says otherwise.
Who is eligible
The program is for people of all ages with a permanent disability that restricts their ability to attend participating venues independently and requires a support person. The application must be completed by the person with a disability or a legal guardian, and the disability and support-person requirement must be verified by a registered health-care professional or recognized service provider.
The card cannot be used when the cardholder is already admitted free because of age. Eligibility is about the need for a support person, not simply having a disability or wanting a companion ticket.
Current card price

Using Access 2 in Toronto
The official directory includes Ontario participating venues. Before heading out, search the directory for the Toronto attraction, cinema, museum, recreation facility, or event you want to visit, then confirm:
- Whether the venue currently participates
- Whether the support person’s admission is free or discounted
- Whether the cardholder must buy a ticket in advance
- Whether special exhibitions, events, or timed-entry tickets are excluded
- What identification or card format the venue accepts
Keep the card accessible during the visit and contact the venue directly if its online listing is unclear. Policies can vary even between locations operated by the same organization.
