A beautifully designed park with a marshland wetland habitat, splash pad, seasonal firepit, and a pavilion with one of the most photogenic skyline views in Toronto. Opened in 2013 and somehow still largely unknown outside the immediate neighbourhood. The combination of marsh grasses, wetland birds, and city towers in the same frame is uniquely Toronto.

The splash pad area has misting jets in summer that are genuinely refreshing on hot days. Come in the evening for the firepit under the pavilion — it's romantic and free. The marshland section has great blue herons year-round and is one of the most unexpected wildlife habitats this close to the downtown core. Bring a camera with a long lens.
Getting there
Streetcar 504 King to Cherry St, then walk south. Or from King subway station, walk east on King and south on Cherry (about 20 minutes). The park is at the corner of Bayview and King St E.
