Toronto has teams in every major North American professional league: Toronto Maple Leafs (NHL hockey), Toronto Raptors (NBA basketball), Toronto Blue Jays (MLB baseball), Toronto FC (MLS soccer), and Toronto Argonauts (CFL football). All of them play in or near downtown.
The Maple Leafs play at Scotiabank Arena (formerly Air Canada Centre) at 40 Bay Street, downtown Toronto, steps from Union Station. The arena also hosts the Raptors (NBA).
The Blue Jays play at Rogers Centre (formerly SkyDome) at 1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto. The stadium has a retractable roof and is located next to the CN Tower. The roof closes when temperatures are below about 12°C or when it rains.
Primary tickets through Ticketmaster (ticketmaster.ca) sell out quickly for Leafs especially. Secondary market options include StubHub, Vivid Seats, and resellers near the arena on game day. Raptors tickets are more available; Leafs tickets are among the hardest in professional sports to get at face value.
Real Sports Bar & Grill (15 York St) is the closest and best-known sports bar — enormous screens, good food, very busy on game days. Bier Markt on the Esplanade, Bar Hop on King West, and the Arena Bar inside the Air Canada Centre concourse are also popular options.
Toronto FC games at BMO Field on the Exhibition Place grounds are an excellent experience for non-soccer fans. The south end supporters' section (Section 112) is loud and atmospheric. Tickets are reasonably priced compared to the NHL and NBA. The stadium is compact and sightlines are excellent from every seat.
