A welcoming, drop-in community art-making programme with materials provided and no prior experience needed.
Art Hive is MOCA Toronto’s free, drop-in community art-making programme. The November sessions take place Friday, November 13 and Friday, November 27, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Floor 1. MOCA provides materials, welcomes all skill levels and says participants may bring a work in progress.
Each session features a creative invitation written by graduate students from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, supported by MOCA’s Learning Team. Both November event pages invite participants to respond to themes in Bharti Kher’s exhibition Bones, including balance, transformation and perception. MOCA says every session is unique but does not publish distinct prompts for the two dates.
Art Hive is free on Floor 1; visiting the rest of the museum requires separate admission. RSVPs help MOCA plan attendance, but seating is limited and first-come, first-served. MOCA intends the programme for teens, adults and seniors, and recommends TD Community Sundays for families with younger children.
