Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same Ontario Science Centre that was at Don Mills?
This is the new, expanded interim operation located at the Harbourfront Centre on Toronto's waterfront. While it features many of the same beloved concepts, it is a different space designed for its new urban environment, featuring 86,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space.
What is the best way to get to the Science Centre Harbourfront?
Transit is highly recommended. You can take the 509 Harbourfront streetcar from Union Station directly to the Harbourfront Centre stop. It's also a pleasant 15-minute walk south from Union Station via Bay Street.
Is KidSpark available at the new Harbourfront location?
Yes! KidSpark remains a core part of the Science Centre experience at Harbourfront, specifically designed for children ages 10 and under. Due to its popularity, timed admission may apply on weekends, so booking in advance is suggested.
How much does admission cost?
Admission is $15 per visitor (tax included), and children 2 and under are free. There are special discounts available through the Canada Strong Pass, which offers free admission for those 17 and under through September 7, 2026.
What are the highlights of the outdoor exhibition space?
The Curiosity Commons is the primary outdoor space, featuring large-scale science games, physics challenges, and interactive installations that take advantage of the waterfront setting.
